נִיהוּm. = אִיהוּ (mostly after an open syllable to avoid a hiatus, or after ן) he, himself; it, it is. B. Kam. 114b דילמא … והוא נ׳ קא מפיק שמא perhaps he sold them, and he himself spread the report (that they had been stolen). Ber.58b לא ידענא מאי נ׳ I do not know what it is (its nature).
